May Mixer - 48 Hour Film Project

Come on out for the Memphis Film Society May mixer and hear speaker Mark King talk about the upcoming Memphis 48 Hour Film Project.  Here are the details about this new event:


The 48 Hour Film Project, the largest filmmaking competition in the world, is coming to Memphis!  In a wild, sleepless weekend,  you and your team will make a short movie from scratch - that is writing, shooting, and editing in only 48 hours. On Friday, July 13 you will get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all in to include in your move. By Sunday, July 15, the movie must be complete. Each completed film is guaranteed a screening at Studio on the Square the following week.

Registration costs $125 per team, space will fill up quickly so register as soon as possible. The is no limit on how many people can be on a team.

Meet other Mid-South filmmakers, spend 48 hours in intense movie making, have your film screened at the Studio on the Square, and compete to represent Memphis against the other 48HFP cities around the world!  The top films from around the world screen each year at the Cannes Film Festival!
